Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set it aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the room-temperature butter with the granulated and brown sugars until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs into the mix, and beat until thoroughly combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until golden brown around the edges with a slightly soft center.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For a chewy texture, bake cookies for 9 minutes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for three months.
