- 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails on or off)
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the shrimp in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the shrimp and mix to coat.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes but no longer than 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Thread shrimp onto skewers if desired and grill for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink, opaque, and slightly charred.
- Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
Notes
For best flavor, don’t skip the marination step. Leftover shrimp can be stored in the fridge for up to two days.
