Description

Delightfully marinated grilled shrimp that are quick to prepare and packed with flavor, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails on or off)
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place the shrimp in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the shrimp and mix to coat.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes but no longer than 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  5. Thread shrimp onto skewers if desired and grill for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink, opaque, and slightly charred.
  6. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

For best flavor, don’t skip the marination step. Leftover shrimp can be stored in the fridge for up to two days.
