Description

Crispy and tender air fryer chicken cutlets that are easy to make and a healthier alternative to frying.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced into cutlets or pre-cut thin cutlets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch or regular)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Oil spray (avocado or olive oil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer if needed.
  2. Set up your breading station: flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip each chicken cutlet into the flour, then the egg, and finally press into the breadcrumbs.
  4. Let the breaded cutlets rest for about 5 minutes while the air fryer is preheating.
  5. Spray the cutlets lightly with oil spray.
  6. Place cutlets in the air fryer basket without crowding them and cook at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Check for doneness with a meat thermometer aiming for 165°F in the thickest part, or ensure juices run clear.

Notes

Serve with a squeeze of lemon and extra Parmesan for garnish. Great with salad, pasta, or as a snack with dipping sauces.
