Crock Pot Angel Chicken

Description

A comforting and easy-to-make dish featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Sprinkle minced garlic, salt, pepper, brown sugar, and Italian seasoning over the chicken.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and cream of chicken soup until smooth, then pour over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks right in the pot and mix it with the sauce.

Notes

Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for about a month.
