Ingredients

  • ½ cup minced onion
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger (or 1 teaspoon dried ginger)
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 (14-ounce) bag prepared coleslaw mix
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and fresh ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground turkey and cook through until browned, about 7-8 minutes.
  5. Mix in coleslaw until softened.
  6. Pour in soy sauce and hoisin sauce, combining well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, then garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different proteins and add more vegetables according to your preference. This dish can also be served with rice or in lettuce wraps.
