A creamy and flavorful gluten-free vodka pasta dish, perfect for comforting weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- Gluten-free pasta (e.g., penne or fettuccine)
- Olive oil
- Garlic (minced)
- Crushed red pepper flakes
- Vodka
- Tomato sauce
- Heavy cream
- Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Fresh basil (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the gluten-free pasta according to the package instructions. Drain it well, but don’t rinse!
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Carefully add the vodka and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and heavy cream, then reduce the heat to low. Let cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta directly into the skillet. Toss it to coat the pasta with the sauce.
- Stir in grated parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and omit parmesan cheese.
