Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (regular or panko)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 splash of milk or a spoonful of plain yogurt (for moisture)

Instructions

  2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic, herbs, salt, pepper, and a splash of milk or yogurt.
  3. Mix until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1.5 inch meatballs.
  5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet with space between each meatball.
  6. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving with sauce, pasta, or salad.

Notes

For best results, chill the mixture for 10 minutes before rolling and shape them evenly to ensure they cook at the same rate. Consider doubling the batch for easy future meals.
