Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined and shiny.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips until no flour is visible.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the lined baking sheet with space between them.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For chewier cookies, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Can also substitute nuts or spices for variations.
