- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined and shiny.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
- Fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips until no flour is visible.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the lined baking sheet with space between them.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For chewier cookies, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Can also substitute nuts or spices for variations.
