Description

A quick yet satisfying shrimp scampi dish that transitions seamlessly from casual weeknight dinners to special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces Spaghetti
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  2. Melt butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp, cooking until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  5. Pour in white wine and lemon juice, simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Toss in cooked spaghetti, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute shrimp with plant-based protein and use oil instead of butter.
