Description

A creamy and comforting Alfredo sauce inspired by Olive Garden, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1.5 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: a pinch of Italian seasoning or a tiny pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Grab a medium saucepan and keep your heat around medium or medium low.
  2. Melt the butter in the pan.
  3. Add the garlic and stir for about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir; let it warm up for 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Turn the heat down and add Parmesan a handful at a time, stirring as it melts.
  6. Taste it, then add salt and pepper.
  7. Let it rest off the heat for a minute before serving.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, save a splash of pasta water and mix in before serving.
